I was cruising around the AO site the other day and found the AlwaysOn Media conference video archive. I pinch hit as an emcee during the CEO Showcases on the last day of the conference. Now *that* is a crazy gig - you have x hundred people in the audience, y thousand people watching on the web cast, real time chat running on screens which you have to do everything in your power to ignore and to top it off an indeterminate amount of time between CEO presentations (based on how long it takes them to get their A/V equipment working). I think my longest filler was 7 minutes, that feels like a *lifetime" up there!
You also have to be a hawk on the clock and work crowd control such that each presenter gets their allotted and appropriate time - with as little audience mayhem as possible Anyway, here are the three sessions I emceed (each CEO presentation is 6 minutes long):
I guess I did a passable job as they asked me to do it again next week at OnHollywood. It's actually kinda of fun...in an overwhelmingly distracting sort of way...
One other piece of cool content from the NYC AO Media conference is the OnMedia 100 Video.
