In-Flight Surfing Takes a Spill

Boeing's Connexion inflight broadband Internet service was a gem.  I've used it on Lufthansa and I have to say I was pretty excited for some of the US carriers to pick it up.  But alas...it was before its time and it sounds like Boeing was taking a beating on the program and has pulled-the-plug on the service.

Bummer...here's hoping someone else figures out an offering the US carriers can start to deploy...

There's Cowbell in Asia

Ever since the SNL Blue Oyster Cult skit I've been very sensitive to the use of the cowbell as a percussion instrument.  So when the unmistakable thud of the cowbell appeared in the middle of Asia's Heat of the Moment I asked myself "how many songs feature the cowbell???"  Well, it turns out the collective brilliance of the Internet community has collaborated on Wikipedia to create a list of all songs that feature the cowbell - I'm thinking this could be my next Napster play list ;-)
