In what's becoming an annual event, Marcus and I set up a little vegetable garden in five pots on our deck.
Last year's crop had mixed results. The carrots came in pretty well (at least as far as Freedom our guinea pig was concerned). The pole peas grew like weeds, but the zucchinis and pumpkins never really got on a good roll. Marcus and I did a comprehensive review of the successes and failures of last year's crop and we determined that the primary cause of failure was a complete disregard for the importance of watering. Marcus' watering strategy for this year appears to hinge on his belief that with Tanner's being three the two of them make a stronger team.
For this year we added corn to last year's pole peas, zucchinis, pumpkins, and carrots. Should be a banner harvest.
